P.T.O
will not release
- Normally
caused by the PTO plate hub being damaged when
the tractor is pushed together. If you find the
PTO plate distorted, it will have happened during
tractor assembly.
- If
the PTO will not release, try reducing the PTO
clutch clearance (through bottom inspection cover).
- Reducing
clearance from .085" to around .060" may eliminate
the problem without splitting the tractor.
Clutch
Slipping Or Excessive Pedal Travel
- Did
you remove the transport bolts?
- Has
the flywheel been machined without machining the
step to correct dimension?
- Correct
pedal clearance (free play)?
- Did
you fit the correct amount of clutch to flywheel
shims?
- Very
early gold/grey MF35 may req. extra flywheel shims.
